ABOUT US
The Garden City Rescue Mission is a life-changing station that provides hope for the hopeless, help for the helpless, and a safe housing environment for nearly 400 different men off of our streets annually. We provide physical needs daily, making people feel important, wanted, loved, and safe. We have Chapel services every night pointing people to Jesus. We also provide a life-saving ministry seeing men freed from addictions in our long term recovery/discipleship program.
ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE
With Christ all things are possible, and we are claiming this promise. We desire to continue to provide hope and help as we did in 2022: 130 salvations, 80 rededications, and 35 men who now love the Lord, enjoy permanent housing, and hold good jobs.
OUR PURPOSE
WHAT WE DO
We run an emergency shelter to reach the broken people on the streets of our city.

OUR PEOPLE
WHO WE SERVE
Every person is a precious soul whom God created. Everyone on our streets is someone’s son, daughter, grandson... etc. These are people who at one time were children with big dreams and hopes. Some have been the victims of horrible abuse; some have made horrible mistakes. Many are tangled in a web of problems they can’t navigate through themselves. Each one has a story if someone would care enough to listen.
Street life is hard, people have heavy burdens and baggage, many walk around daily trying to find a reason not to end their lives.

OUR PARTNERS
HOW WE OPERATE
Our guests have many different needs, and we are so successful because of the many community partnerships. Piedmont Hospital, Augusta University Hospital, Doctors Hospital, the VA Hospitals, many clinics, the Veteran’s Administration, our local EOA for housing and placement, Serenity and American Works for mental health issues, Nursing students for health screenings; Ft. Gordon, schools, restaurants, businesses, and many churches, both local and from across the country, support us in many ways with resources to help us reach and help these precious people.

OUR PLAN

We offer a safe, clean sleeping environment free from drugs, alcohol, pornography, and profanity for people who want off the streets.
We have local churches providing chapel services and Bible studies encouraging people through the Word of God and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ daily.
We provide a long-term residential addictions program for those who want victory over their bondage.

We have local pastors and preachers who are regularly offering counseling and encouragement to those who want to talk.
